Now Based in Los Angeles
One half of Tanden Butoh (Khadija) has relocated back to LA, and is collaborating with musician Robert Hilton on the piece titled "The Fifth Column". A short version of this piece was performed at Little Red Studio and is now being expanded into a longer work. Hopefully Flynn will be able to come join us during performances.
Rehearsals have begun as well as a search for a performance opportunity.

Butoh Improv at LRS Art-a-Thon
Last Saturday night, April 26, I participated in Little Red Studio's Art-a-Thon by presenting an improv piece. The music was Photek's "The Fifth Column" and the piece was about...well, not sure really! The props were a katana sword, photographs, prayer beads, books, a flower, and a seppuku knife. It was sort of like a poem without words. Pictures will be posted as soon as I get them but the show was great, I got wonderful feedback from the audience and friends that were there and have seen my work before. Thanks LRS once again for a great performance experience!
